A successful, vibrant city is a moving city.
We need transport systems that work for people. We need both public transport systems and infrastructure supports vehicles and bicycles. We should work to undo all forms of imposition on motorists. Car owners have been unfairly singled out by the Mayor. As a driver and keen cyclist, I reject the rhetoric of division being supported by the current Mayor. We should aim to improve public transport, while remembering in the outer boroughs, the majority of Londoners are still heavily reliant on their cars.
I will support our Mayoral candidate Susan Hall in a full review of Transport for London and fight against Sadiq Khan’s plans to charge motorists per mile.
